For 25 years we’ve put our talent where our motto is, designing fabrics and wall coverings that are chic and sensible. Now we’ve broadened our reach, adding furniture, lighting, and mirrors to our stable of design collections.

Our aesthetic is fresh and sophisticated. It’s also pragmatic. Motif co-founder Lyn Peterson —a.k.a “the real life decorator”—insists each piece be great looking and also enduring. The sofas and tables are superbly crafted, the fabrics and wallpaper designed to hold up, not to mention hold their own. Even the smaller details—lamps, sconces, and mirrors—are high-caliber and bright with panache.

Our new 2008 furniture collection is full of stylistic possibilities from bold and contemporary to classic-with-a-twist.

There are formal upright sofas and slouchy sectionals, chic settees and smartly-sized ottomans. We have chairs to fit big spaces or small corners; chairs for lounging, chatting, reading or simply to make a point of décor. Our casegoods abound with pieces that add character to a room such as a triptych legged side table with drawers that makes an ideal nightstand, or a slim chest that fits just right into a tight spot.
